A PLEASANT WALK THROUGH VIGNAMAGGIO WOOD

The name Chianti conjures up images of vineyards and olive groves but it is also home to some very beautiful woodland which rarely gets the attention it deserves.
The track starts from the garden of the villa and continues througha shady alley surVignamaggio woodrounded by hedges and several cypresses, the typicaltrees of this area.

At the end of it one enters a wider road surrounAgriturism Mapded by a pine, cypress, turkey oak, holm-oak wood and by a heather, strawberry-tree, juniper, ferny underbrush and many other botanical species.

The road slopes softly, crossing other paths.
Eventually, the track ends in a shady spot overlooking a stream which about 200 metres downstream joins the Greve river.

Both joggers as well as those who simply want to admire the beauties of nature will appreciate the track.
Those who prefer the shade and cooler temperatures should walk early in the morning, while those who enjoy the sun can walk in the afternoon.
